The 7.3 glow plugs refer specifically to glow plugs used in the 7.3-liter Power Stroke diesel engine, which was manufactured by International Navistar and used predominantly in Ford trucks from 1994 to 2003. Ignition Assistance: In diesel engines, especially in colder temperatures, the air inside the combustion chamber may not reach a high enough temperature through compression alone to ignite the diesel fuel. Glow plugs preheat the combustion chamber to aid in starting the engine.

Heating Element: Each glow plug contains a heating element that heats up when electrical current flows through it. This heating element can reach temperatures of around 1000°C (1832°F) or higher, depending on the design.

Activation: Before starting the engine, the glow plugs are activated for a short period to heat the air within the combustion chamber. This ensures that when fuel is injected into the cylinder, it ignites quickly and efficiently.

For heating, spark ignition sensor vehicle auxiliary heating heating in cold areas, the use of silicon nitride, can quickly make the fuel gasification, ignition, combustion. Therefore, after the engine starts soon, as well as idle stop, the car temperature can rise rapidly.
